What are you doing when you don’t feel the need to eat?

And the way that energy is transported throughout your body is by using ketones.

Ketones are an extremely potent energy molecule.

They’re the building blocks of ketones and the breakdown products of ketone metabolism. 

When you consume ketones, your mitochondria, the energy factories inside your mitochondrion, convert them into ketones in the form of ketosis, which is the process of converting glucose into ketone bodies.

This allows your mitochondrium to produce energy at a higher rate, and in doing so, allows you to produce more energy than you otherwise would. 

It’s not a new idea.

Researchers have known for decades that ketosis can increase the rate of metabolism in a wide range of cell types, including cancer cells, neurons, and muscle. 

So it’s no surprise that many people have found that their energy levels have improved significantly as they’ve transitioned from a vegetational state to a ketogenic state. 

However, there are some things that you need to know to be absolutely certain that you’re indeed in ketosis and have the ability to create ketones from nothing, and those things are: • You’ve eaten enough to begin with.

This is important.

It’s not just that you’ve done enough to create the necessary ketones by eating ketones alone, you’ve also been eating enough food to cause ketosis in the first place. 

Ketones, like glucose, are a naturally occurring compound.

You can’t create them in your body with food alone.

You need a source of glucose, in this case, to fuel your metabolism.

Your body’s ability to metabolize ketones is regulated by the ketone body.

This body part is responsible for producing ketones when you eat them.

The body will also produce ketones if you take in more ketones than you can produce in your blood by burning fat, burning muscle, and exercising. 

• Your body has stored energy that is being used to fuel the ketones that you have produced.

This energy can be stored in the body for long periods of time. 

In the case of the mitochondria in your mitochondron, this is called glycolysis.

When you have excess energy from your mitochondral activity, this energy can travel through your mitochondric membranes, where it can become available for use as fuel. 

You can’t store this energy in the mitochondrions, but the body can still use it as fuel for a wide variety of processes. 

That means you can get a higher-than-normal metabolism without being able to eat ketones; you can burn up to 60% more fat when you do, for example; and your body can use the ketosis to maintain a healthy weight. 

But if you’re eating too much fat and/or getting too much exercise, then you’re going to have trouble storing this excess energy. 

There’s also a bit of an extra complication if you’ve been consuming too much protein and/of that protein being too much.

This extra protein is called conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). 

There are two major kinds of CLA: dietary forms and synthetic forms.

Dietary forms are made by the body in large amounts in food, while synthetic forms are produced by the liver when you ingest a protein supplement or some other substance that causes it to bind to the protein. 

CLA is the only energy molecule that can be found naturally in the human body.
